This selection of drawings are of strangers in public spaces in central London. Most were unaware that I was drawing them. The defining characteristic of this body of work is that the subjects were sitting relatively still surrounded by the motions of an active modern city. Isolating them on the sheet of paper from the activity around them emphasises their solace.
